Located on the west coast just north of Pirnmill, Wee Meadow Cottage has recently been fully refurbished with the benefit of full central heating, double-glazing, fitted carpets whilst retaining the charm of exposed beams and a cosy wood-burning stove. The cottage is situated on its own meadow and is only separated from the seashore by the narrow coast road. There is ample off road parking. Within the meadow, there is a small enclosed front garden with patio area and tree lined rear garden. The property has a west facing location and enjoys uninterrupted views over Kilbrannan Sound to Kintyre with quite spectacular sunsets.
The entrance porch leads to a hallway with dining table placed to take in the views. The sitting room with large picture windows and is furnished with leather recliner settees, and a sofa bed, TV with video and DVD, Radio cassette and a wood burning stove. Another window overlooks the rear garden. A serving hatch connects to the newly fitted kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, microwave cooker, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is also an electric kettle and toaster as well as a full range of kitchen utensils.
The front double bedroom has en-suit WC and large walk-in shower whilst the rear twin bedroom which can be made up as a double) has an en-suit bathroom/WC, the bath having an electric shower over. The bathrooms have heated towel rails and both bedrooms have radio and TV with either DVD or video. There is also a further WC with shower off of the hall.
There is a rear lobby with ample heated hanging space for coats and a boot rack. All bed linen is provided and towels for a small additional fee. All rooms are at ground level.
The Cottage is one mile from the village shop and restaurant and 3 miles from a public house. Usefully located for golfers, walkers and cyclists, “Poppies” offers a comfortable base from which to explore Arran. There are picturesque walks directly from the meadow to tumbling burns and heather clad mountains and lochs.
